No complaints, I recommend to buy.

As you can see, the points of the advantages and disadvantages partially coincide, but this is intended, because. everyone has different requirements (but the backlight is still terrible). Before buying them, I highly recommend purchasing the Chinese analogue of this model on ali from Skmei. It will cost up to $ 10, but within a few days of wearing it, you can determine exactly if this size suits you. If the size does not suit you and you want to save money, I recommend looking at the classic (in form) model GW-M5610-1ER (it does not have a barometer / altimeter / thermometer / compass) or GW-5000-1JF (functionally analogous to GW-M5610-1ER, but in an all-metal case and is assembled strictly in Japan and for the Japanese market). Both of these models have excellent backlighting. Did I mention the poor backlighting in the GW-9400? :-)

Pros
  • 1. Solar battery - after these hours, I will not return to simple battery options. 2. Shockproof and increased water resistance (it must be remembered that the buttons cannot be pressed under water). 3. Watch size and long strap. The strap is about 2 cm longer than many G-Shocks due to the increase in the distance after the holes, i. E. suitable for people with a wrist up to 21cm and the short tail of the strap will not stick out. 4. Calibration by radio signal - set the synchronization to automatic and forget about the eyeliner. Even if the signal is received uncertainly, it is enough to do it manually twice a year - after switching to winter / summer time. 5. Barometer is an excellent accurate gauge. The preset readings from the factory matched and fluctuated with the local weather station. 6. Compass - good clear display.
Cons
  • 1. Backlight - even in Chinese watches it is better. Immediately, one diode sticks out on the left and makes the backlight completely uneven and gives off cheapness. 2. Altimeter - it does not suit me, because tied to a barometer, i. E. As atmospheric pressure changes, the altitude reading may change even if you do not move. 3. Size - frankly large, ie. for an amateur and for a rather big hand. 4. Calibration by radio signal - does not work everywhere. If it is not available in your region, then you do not need this functionality. the function of world time is tied to it, i. E. if radio synchronization does not occur, the world time will not automatically change. JJY Simulator won't help. it just sets the exact time and does not give information on winter / summer time. 5. Temperature sensor - the correct temperature is displayed only if the watch is not on the wrist.
