Review on 🌿 Sustainably Crafted PlanToys Wooden Dollhouse Playground Equipment (7153): Safe, Eco-Friendly, Non-Toxic Design by Francisco Holmes

Overall, I like PlanToys as a company and appreciate the sustainability orientation of their business model. We also try to stick to gender-neutral dollhouse toys, which is another positive for many of these PlanToys (and Hape) miniatures. We have several of their kits which I would describe as 'good' quality but not exceptional. They are thoughtfully designed and built to last, but there are almost always a few small quality control issues of varying degrees, from a toy that sometimes needs to be returned in its entirety to a minor defect in the toy. For example in this particular case. Playground set, nothing is level or centered. And some of the holes that the rails are designed to snap into aren't evenly drilled, so the rails don't quite line up with the edges of the structures they hold. This creates an odd and uneven gap between where the pieces are supposed to fit together and makes the slide landings wobbly and unstable. It's not enough to make me return the set and I'm sure I could probably find a way to fix it myself, but given the price it's a little disappointing hence deducting a star. All in all I don't know where else I could find a wooden playground like this. If your child likes to play in the "small world", this playground set will be a great addition to their imaginary environment. My son uses this play area along with some dollhouse accessories from Hape and Le Toys Van in an old dollhouse that was given to us (hence the desire for more gender neutral accessories). Everything is to scale and works interchangeably with each other. If you are also using any of the Schleich toys or even the more "niche" Daniel Tiger figures, they will complement the dollhouse nicely as well.
