Review on 🌀 ARCTIC F12 PWM - 120 mm PWM Case Fan, Silent Motor with PWM-Signal Control, Computer Fan Speed: 230-1350 RPM, Black/White by Paul Sanchez

This product is a huge disappointment compared to the quality I was used to from the old Arctic Cooling brand. The fan I've been using for almost ten years eventually didn't suit me and, unable to find an exact replacement, I settled on a newer version of the same (slightly renamed) brand, which I've been happy with all these years. I thought I would get the same level of quality and attention to detail, instead what I got was poorly designed and disappointing. The screws aren't really designed to fit into the fan cage, the fan cage is just a slightly smaller hole with soft plastic. So you need either a drill or a lot of elbow grease to "insert" them, which left me with damaged screw heads and took 10 minutes longer than necessary (not a big deal, but the expected install time was 60 seconds!). The fan works and seems reasonably quiet, but the old unit was significantly better in terms of installation.
