Review on 🔧 Labwork Aluminum Engine Oil Pan 12628771 Compatible with Camaro Firebird Trans Am Express LS1 Engine by Jason Marquez

The installation on this sucks. Too bad I didn't read the other reviews before buying. First I blamed myself thinking I misaligned things, then I blamed the air pan, then I blamed the oil pickup tube. It was strange considering it looks high quality when you first unbox it. Now I know this is a stupid baffle inside blocking the oil pickup tube. It's ridiculous that I have to cut metal to fit an easy to use oil pan. As others have said it is missing a hole which can be clearly seen by aligning the gasket. The Gen 3 5.3 LM7 doesn't have this hole anyway so I'd recommend using sealant around this area in addition to a gasket if you're still buying this and want to deal with cutting the baffle. Packaging was good, no residue except maybe a slight clear layer of oil, the aluminum is strong but soft enough to be drilled and tapped if you are doing an oil return to a turbo.
