Very positive first impressions

Living on the Oregon Coast, we are putting together a solar generation system as a partial solution to a potential Cascadia earthquake/tsunami that could leave us in the dark for weeks or even months. We decided to use Bluetti products first. The first pieces of the puzzle are an EB150 Sogen (later AC300/B300) and a PV200 solar panel. That's all we have now, these two parts. But a few days ago I decided to test what we had. When we tested this it was October 2nd with about 60°F and mostly sunny skies at about 46°N. One day I decided to move them (fold one panel, support panel on both sides, move) and set the footboards at a 45 degree angle (the sun was lower in the sky, but it was meant to be a "quick and dirty" test) at the location where the panel was in bright sun and at 11:30 (clock was oriented south-southeast you get 80 watts of usable power.) Under really ideal conditions and positioning you can often get a little more you can get a little less I hooked it up and connected it to the input on the EB150 I have a very seen impressive input power, typically 155-160 watts - and that without tweaking to peak! The video is a short clip showing what I've also tested partial shading, and unlike many other panels where the g Any panel/array with a bit of shading can lose almost everything, don't. You have four sections connected in parallel, if one of them is shaded, the rest three still work fine. These panels are expensive - they are not designed for long-term permanent installation (you need rigid panels for that). But for camping, RV, boondocking, or just the occasional emergency where you don't need solar panels all the time, they seem to do their job well. If I need to upgrade over time I will, but my first impression of the performance of these panels is very good.
