UPDATE: I decided to keep the case as I thought I could use it for a small Chromebook. But I ended up cutting off a piece of the lining to fit my laptop. It's still tight, but I don't have to fight it that hard. The handles loosened up a bit and that was important (I don't have to bother with the handles AND the tight fit that much, which is why I wanted this type of bag). So I've raised my rating to 4 stars. However, there is a rather big problem. I use the shoulder strap and the hook comes off twice and my laptop bag falls to the floor. This is a HUGE HUGE problem I used to lose my laptop due to a broken strap, but this is a brand new bag and the strap is fine (no defect), the connector/latch is easy to open accident before the second time dropped it off my shoulder i just checked it as you pulled it out which means the connector gate opened when i had it on my shoulder. As the quality of the bag itself is good, you might want to find something better to connect the shoulder straps to (I'll try lockable carabiners). Other than that (which I think is a big issue due to laptop security) everything works. One thing that pleasantly surprised me: it really stands up without tipping over, even with the charger on! Hooray! ------------------------------------ From the dimensions I thought that would be enough. I can make it fit, but it's almost impossible to get past the zipper and too tight to be useful. The handles were very hard which seemed to make it difficult to put anything in your pocket. I also felt that it would tip over easily with the laptop. When I get something that hard I really want it to stay upright, otherwise I might opt for a softer case. In general, he looked solid and reliable. It's too stiff for my use and definitely too thick for my laptop.
