Very easy peel and stick on the back, 3 strips. I let them sit out of the box with some even weight on top to try to flatten out. I installed them, and 2 days later used double sided tape just on 4 corners (total) bc I can be picky. Very soft on your feet, they haven't budged one bit and I have 2 girls under 5 that are up and down all day!

Be very careful while pulling off strips for adhesive. Some of the threads are slightly off in shape, but not noticeable. Many people complained about different shades of grey. I found that it all has to do with lighting. I measured when I put them, so that tooksome time. I’m hoping the corners will lie flat after awhile. They don’t look super fancy, but compared to having the stairs professionally covered it’s a deal. Overall, I’m happy with what I paid for them.

The stair treads look so good and many guests have complimented the addition. It makes the stairs safer and more quiet, especially having small grandchildren and dogs in the house. The adhesive strips need a tab to pull the backing layer off because it’s easy to pull the entire tape strip off trying to separate the two. Overall we are very satisfied and would purchase again.

I used my own tape. I didn’t feel the tape they supplied was heavy duty enough. But I love these treads. Will be buying more for our basement stairs. There was one odd one in there (it was a bit lopsided). I only needed 11 so I wasn’t that worried and honestly it would have been fine if I hid it on a stair in the middle anyway. Need to pick around the 4 corners until you find the one that exposes the stick.We used the adhesive to stick it to non stick rug gripper which has worked out well. They looked exactly the way I wanted them to and we're very easy to install! Only recommendation is to get a roll of carpet tape because the adhesive may not be enough for stair treads.
