A poor man's synthesizer?

I have been using Wacom products for about 20 years now. My last Wacoms were a pair of Untuos 3 in various sizes for my art work stations. I also use other devices like 3D Connexion Spacenavigator and Quickeys. I even used an old HP TC1100. Was glad to get Veikk VK1200. Arrived nicely packaged. Nice box. Useful quick start guide. In terms of basic functionality, the VEIKK tablet is easily comparable to my old Wacom tablets. Keyboard shortcuts can be assigned in all my default applications (After Effects, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Cinema4D, ZBrush). And the screen is actually quite comparable to my old TC1100, which is a slight offset to the stylus. But since I've never used the Cintiq, I'm used to it. The color is actually the same or better than my HP VH240a and 32s monitors. I really like the texture of the screen. One of the issues I had with my iPad and the old TC1100 was the very slippery texture of the screens. Without a transparent film coating, you had no way of getting the "feel of paper". Luckily, the VK1200 has a screen coating that provides the right texture for drawing. Not paper. But very good. If it's been a while since you've updated or used your old Wacom, you won't notice any difference other than the slightly less complete sense of "institutional support" that comes with a bigger, more familiar name. If I were to open a large studio, I would undoubtedly choose Wacom for peace of mind. But for personal use (particularly image retouching) the VK1200 is fine. The quality of the stylus is comparable to Wacom (you get two and a couple of nibs). Lower-end Veikk tablets come with lower grips, but this one is very good. Slightly less durable and ergonomic than the Wacom pen. But the price really convinced me. The screen space is small for drawing. However, I'm used to drawing on an iPad and a 10.6-inch TC1100, so I can deal with the limited space. But if you're FIRST starting with computer illustration, then you NEED something more (VK2200) This tablet is ideal for those who need a portable computer or who work on smaller, more detailed subjects (painting textures, vector symbols, photo retouching). , fine-tuning of digital sculpting). The tablet has a good weight. Comfortable to use on the lap. And the cable length is great. About 5 feet. These are two separate cables rather than paired, but for me it is the ideal length to use. This tablet was installed on a recent PC build (HP Prodesk with GTX 1660). So I didn't install multiple tablets. But I suspect there will be no conflicts with existing drivers. I was also able to set it as the primary display on a GKmini microcomputer with an Intel GPU. No problem. This is a professional product in every way. which is above its weight considering the price. A real beggar Cintiq. Highly recommended for this low price.
