Installed these on my camper van and it was easy to do. I already had 12v outlets in a few spots that I never used and chose to use them rather than use adapters to connect and charge phones. I removed the wall plates with the 12v outlets and used them to cover the holes, just make sure you connect the wires properly. A few things I didn't like is why are the included screws silver when the case is white? The screws must be white. The LED on it isn't too bright, like a tiny night light, which is fine, but I really don't care how the light shines through the body of the panel, I thought it would glow completely blue, but that's how it appears Through the body you can receive white and blue light at the same time. Neither is a deal breaker to me, but if you were only expecting a blue or green light from the front, you might be disappointed. You can mount it vertically or horizontally, but make sure you have room to open the lid before installing.
