I bought this helicopter for my 17yo son who loves flying drones. He is typically a drone user but I decided to get this for him to try. I generally buy SYMA remote control products becuase we have had good luck with them and my son prefers them. It comes in nice packaging, that would also make it great for a gift. Inside the box, you will find the helicopter, 2 rechargable batteries (which is great), controller (4 AA batteries required), an extra tail blade, screwdriver, USB charger, and instruction manual. The controller has buttons for for height control as well as movement in all directions. It has trim settings to keep it flying straight, as well as high and low modes for speed.By nature I think helicopters are more difficult than drones to fly. But, out of all of the helicopters that he has flown, this is by far the easiest in terms of how it hovers and how easy it is to control. Flight time is about 7 minutes which is typical for most remote controlled items of this size. The extra battery definitely helps. It says for indoor use but I would recommend flying it outdoors. It is somewhat large and an inexperienced operator could do some damage to both the helicoptor and fragile items in your home. When you fly it outside, do so on a calm day, as the wind can definitely make it harder to control. My son did fly it into a fence and it held up with no damage, which was good.Overall, we are pleased with this helicoptor. I would recommend for kids over 10 years of age. I was a little tricky to get the hang of but practice and learning are part of the experience!
