I tried this product with other batteries and it didnt work for me. I this charger is only for batteries made by this company good product thogh just only if you're a team player

This little thing charge my battery in 45 min while the charger that came with the car needed 6 hours. My son love it, he can have his batteries for the next day while we are having dinner.

This product is great! I recently purchased two 3s 850 G2 smart batteries. I was tokd nothing would charge these batteries but a G2 charger! They were all so wrong.not only did it charged them but also charged them in a timely manner. Its charges all the way up to 5 s it wirks perfectly with all smart batteries ! Get this! Unbeatable price!

For the price this is the best and easiest to use charger I have come across. Basically plug and play with a Spektrum lipo smart battery! Thank you!

Not too much to say, as there really aren't many features. It does what it says on the tin. A couple of hits and misses though:Hits:The single button interface is intuitive, simple, and the instructions are printed right on the charger itself.No screen necessary, since it's a basic, no frills charger. But having the 4 level charge status indicator is a nice touch.Once charging is complete, it stops charging, and gives off a good loud beep. It'll keep beeping periodically until you disconnect…

I bought two of these chargers and gave one to my son, one was from ebay, than bought a Spektrum s1100 charger for the bigger battery's. amazing technology and don't even use my old chargers anymore, just had to change some battery connector ends.

For the price it's a fabulous little charger. Make sure you read the instructions if you are charging batteries that aren't "Spectrum Smart Batteries". I charge ZEEE 2S 5200 Lipo and love this charger for the price.

I tried with 4 different NiMH batteries off my boy's Arrma car.Plugging the battery into the charger, it selected LiPo at 3A. Pressing the button, I changed to NiMH and tried with all the different currents. After the double press, all lights are flashing and the charger is beeping, indicating an error. No luck getting any battery charged.

I says it will charge other batteries that are not smart batteries, but I cannot seem to get it to charge anything other than spektrum smart batteries.

Ordered from ebay. Product worked 3 times. Today I started charging a battery (I know what I’m doing, this was not due to my error) and sparks shot out of the charger and it died. Thank god it didn’t ignite the Lipo battery or worse. Return window has closed so ebay won’t take it back, Horizon Hobby (the manufacturer) is renowned for their lack of service, so I’m now stuck with this. Great charger! I use it for my axial scx24 2s lipo batteries. You do have to buy the jst adapter to charge them. Very easy to use and I like how you dont have to keep an eye on it since it beeps when the battery is charged.

Was worried about charge time for this charger's output when purchased. But for not! This one charges nice and slow all the way to very fast! I charged Smart 3S 2200mAh on it very quickly!

Works well, charges fast. Stops right at 4.2v per cell (haven't tried other chemistries). It's perfect for the size and price.Only downsides: it is a pretty noisy fan, the ec3 (ic3.whatever they call it) input connector is kind of annoying, and the balance connector input is kind of finicky. I'd still buy it again though

simple charger for my lipo batteries. perfect easy to use for mu scx24 batteries. be sure to buy the right battery connector. feature i love the most is the beep when it is fully charged

Only detects what kind of battery it is (eg LiPo) if it is a Spektrum battery - that is the one and only smart feature. It does not detect ideal charge rate. It does not storage charge. You cannot activate the Spektrum battery feature where it goes into storage mode (sadly, that is not the default settings of these batteries). If you are not using a Spektrum battery it is just a fast charger, but works well in this regard.

Update: This device ended up being defective. I took it to a local hobby shop and had the battery and charger tested and the charger was defective. I returned it and purchased the S1100 instead.I have not been able to charge my Spektrum Smart 2200 mAh 4S 30C battery with this charger. You can't really mess up the connections with this charger and battery. I just received this as a gift a few days ago and have not been ableto fly my E-Flite F-15 EDF BNF because I can't charge the battery…

Based on other reviews I got a bad unit. It is small and easy to use. Just plug in the Smart battery and it does its thing. Until it doesn't. After the first few uses which worked great it refused to charge a G2 Smart battery. Just sat there with the white LiPo light on and the charge current light on. No automatic charging started. waited and waited. nothing. reconnected everything - nothing. changed charge rates nothing. Tried treating it as a non-Smart battery and double clicked the button…

I bought two of these, one for my wife and one for me. They worked fine for the first season we used our RC cars. We stopped using them for about a month, stored the chargers and the batteries half charged in a LiPo bag. When we went to use them about a month later both chargers were dead. These seriously lasted less than 1 year. What a joke.

For a entry lever charger you get more than you pay for. Been away from the hobby for 20 years and it's came a long way low-cost very easy to learn and izs high quality
