The shorts are very short, which I don't mind, but some may want to be cautious if they don't like shorts that cut just below the cheek. I ordered a large (I'm 5'3 and 135 pounds /10% fat) - I always order large with spandexy workout shorts like this as I don't like to be sucked in like a sausage. They are still very form fitting due to the material. . I'm glad I did order a large as when I opened the package they seemed big enough for a tiny girl, but they actually fit me perfectly. They are comfortable, and I like the v scoop in front as I don't like material over my belly button. The material is bumpy in texture. My boyfriend said it felt like a kitchen towel. I'm not sure if that's the reaction I wanted from him. But for workout shorts I will certainly wear them. Overall I'm satisfied with the purchase.
