Old sensors with head on black sump do not work properly. Horst Probe is better than the OEM level gauges they use. The paper stuck to the side panel that covered the button and showed the level in the tank. I just emptied the tank at the landfill, I'm pretty sure it was empty. When I got home I took a flashlight and looked at the stool in the tank and it was indeed empty. Later I filled the tank with water, let it sit overnight and emptied it the next day. The paper came out, the tank seemed to be empty. The new sensor's paper isn't clinging to the sensor, if it is, the roof keeps it away from the sensor. Great product, hope it lasts a lifetime.
