From my research, a leaking VVT control valve seems to be a very common problem on Honda V6s. The dealer does not sell new seals. They wanted to replace the entire valve for almost $1,000. I was very hopeful when I found these aftermarket pads but they didn't work. I installed them and alternately tightened them slowly until I tightened them to 102 in-lbs for the first time. Started the engine and there is a slow leak. I increased the torque to 110lbs and checked but still leaking. I increased the weight to 120 inches, then 125 and the same. Now I see that Dorman makes the top half of the VVT valve as an aftermarket part for about $100. I think I'll try that next time.
