This knife is MUCH better! Our family will use the knife until it gets dull like this, so naturally we were desperate for an updated knife. We've had great success with absolutely everything with the Okami Chef's Knife! It comes in its own beautiful storage box and has a protective cover. The knife is very well made and has a certain weight. He carved everything with perfection! It slices meat, cheese, veggies etc with ease. I'm not sure if it's dishwasher safe though, even though it's not sold as such - it's been put in the dishwasher at my house a few times and came out really well. If you are looking for a well built, durable and sharp blade that will make a fantastic addition to your kitchen then this is the knife for you!
