Skullcandies are known for their amazing bass and this is DEFINITELY the right fit. The bass is loud and deep, and the mids and highs aren't weak either. Best of all, it has tactile bass; This means that the headphones physically vibrate at lower frequencies. It may seem strange or even undesirable, but I GUARANTEE it will add to your listening pleasure. It's pretty good for movies too. It has some great features like a side touch system to activate noise cancellation. Noise isolation isn't bad and noise cancellation is decent, but the sound quality itself is excellent. Although for this price range you could improve the OVERALL quality (especially noise reduction, mids and lows) if you listen. For hip-hop, rock or an action movie, the bass is second to none.
