Type of review

I gave this product 4 stars as I have just received it and will review again after a few weeks of use. The knife arrived quickly and was relatively sharp, I already had it on. Wet stone, and now it's razor sharp. Chopped some onion and paprika, worked great, the handle fits well in my hand. I'm a tall male at 6ft 9in and I have a hard time finding knives that work well in my large hands. Brand of knives for 6 years they held the edge hoping that it did too

Pros
  • Professional Chef's Knife 8"
Cons
  • Large and Chunky

Perfect everyday knife

I wanted to add a working horse knife that anyone could use in the kitchen without touching my shuns! It was very inexpensive and looked like commercial kitchen knives like Victorinox. I had already bought the meat cleaver update so I was sure of the quality. The care and maintenance isn't a big deal either, it seems to retain good sharpness and I use it with every cook. The knife is well made, very sharp and works perfectly. Just a little tired of the blister pack, almost ripped my finger off…

Pros
  • NSF listed
Cons
  • High price

Value for money champion

I've had this knife for three years now and love it more than I did when I bought it. I'm not a professional chef but I've used this knife for 3-4 hours cooking dozens of people and it just works. It is easy to clean, sharpen and use. I have half a dozen more expensive knives, but this is my favorite. Upgrade from 4 to 5 stars. Original Post January 2015: This is the spiritual successor to the 10 year old Victorinox Swiss Classic, now well priced but no longer attractive value for money. Buy…
