I wanted trick candles like I had as a child. Well, these were definitely tricky! Our 8-year-old’s cake was a fiery mess at one point and smoke was everywhere by the end. Mind you there were only eight candles on the cake. We weren’t sure if the candles were ever going to stop relighting. Took a video and it was well over 3 minutes long. My son lost patience and was a bit overwhelmed, although my 9-year-old thought it was a hoot. The cake was well spit on by the end. I laughed my head off a one point at the sheer ridiculousness of it all.I do like the added base to the candles, however, as it caught most of the wax drippings. Which after 3 minutes there was plenty of it.
