I've been typing for over 40 years but now I'm getting carpal tunnel problems. I'd like to avoid surgery if possible, but I also don't want to cause any permanent damage by letting things take their course. A friend suggested that I try night wrist braces as she had the same problem and after six months the pain was gone. At $25 each, it was worth a try. I am very happy to say that once I put them on the pain subsides. I've been using them at night for about a month now and have found that when I take them off in the morning the pain goes away (they're a bit difficult to type with the metal support from palm to the end of the band). . starts not before noon, and then much less. Although they cover the entire hand and go down about 3 inches down the arm to cover the wrist, they are not hot which is a concern for women "of a certain age", especially during the hot summer months! I am very happy that this can be an alternative to surgery. They are comfortable and seem to do their job. Thank you for friends and for such products!
