Let me start by saying that I'm a big fan of Samsung. I have a Samsung TV, laptop, tablet, phone and now a watch. There's a reason I have all of these - they make great products. Over the years I've trekked to them for shopping wherever possible and I've had no regrets. Now about hours. This is the third (more or less) generation of watches, hence the name. I had all three and will update them asap because I'm a tech junkie. :) So all in all, I can say that the watch hasn't lost ground in any of its iconic features, such as; B. the stunning bezel design to manage menu functions. In my opinion there is no watch from any manufacturer that can surpass this design. It's intuitive, convenient and efficient. But it's not just about the device, it's about the app itself. You can fully control your device from both the watch itself and the app on your phone. This is a VERY well designed app and a great addition to this top notch device. The watch is almost the same size as the last generation watch, depending on the version, but the Gen 3 is significantly lighter. If you hold the watch up close - which I did - you'll see how much thinner the case on the new ones has gotten. But I don't mean that it's too thin. But they definitely did a good job in losing weight and it shows. The operating system is as good as ever - responsive and well designed. I can't say I've noticed a significant increase in performance over the previous generation, but time will tell. It's a great watch, but let me point out a few of the changes that I thought weren't that favorable, at least for me. I'll point that out and you can decide for yourself if it's important to you. Deal with it? Let us begin! Watch strap: this time they were made of a completely new material - leather or a copy of the skin. As soon as I picked it up I made a face. They felt TERRIBLE stiff compared to the previous generation and I was afraid to put them on. I put it on and after a couple of hours, to my surprise, the material came loose a lot. The difference was day and night, which I didn't expect. Haven't decided yet if I'll keep it or replace it, but this was a huge improvement over my first impression. Button Design: They had a more traditional button design and while they're certainly well made, I liked the last generation's design a lot more. I felt the second-gen buttons were smooth and unobtrusive and just didn't get in the way. I loved them so I was sad to see them go away. They released a new charger design. Now it's not necessarily a bad thing if it still works with old chargers. But when I put the new watch on my Gen 2 charging dock, it wouldn't recognize the watch's presence. I actually prefer the new design, but it's nice to be able to use old accessories wherever possible. Others may have a better experience, but that was mine. However, I will say that the Gen 3 charged surprisingly quickly compared to the Gen 2. When I put it on the charger it was about 50% charged and charged to 100% in a VERY short time. I didn't follow this as it was the first load but was blown away by how fast it was. Battery life has also definitely improved, but I need to spend more time analyzing it more closely. but there were points that caught my eye. And of course, I'd prefer that Samsung didn't have a proprietary operating system for its watch, since you can't buy watch faces or phone apps from the Google Play Store. Of course, due to the smaller market, there are fewer apps, watch faces, etc. than on other devices, although I didn't feel limited by that in any way. I would also like to note that while these devices are the version that allows them to act as a standalone cellular device with its own phone number, I did not include that in my review. I may add this in a later update. I will say that the speakers and microphone have always amazed me with their quality and performance for such a small form factor. Samsung knows what it's doing and it shows. That's the verdict guys. A great watch that has improved in many ways but has some design tweaks compared to previous generations that some may or may not like, but overall this is a major upgrade that moves the platform in a positive direction. I hope this helps some of you to make a more informed decision, but I don't think you will be dissatisfied with your purchase.
