They are small which means you have to determine the correct application. For DIY projects that aren't widely used, they work great. If you want the highest quality nuclear submarines, the cost will really go up. I haven't soldered them yet, but the threads and switch mechanism seem to work. More later when my assessment changes. I soldered them into my application with no problems, but be careful with mechanical switches - check for continuity before latching.
