Square HOMT2020 Circuit Breaker Homeline Review

Exactly what I was looking for. Allows more connections in a small box. This circuit breaker was a bit pricey but was delivered to my door and was worth it.

This item was purchased as it was not in stock by our company. In the end we didn't need it. So the only thing I can say about the product is the price. That's a lot more than we sell, but in an emergency it doesn't matter!

Homeline/Square D make products to last. I got these tandem circuit breakers because I needed extra room in the breaker box to install a surge protector. They're cheaper if you buy them at the store, but I didn't have to go there to get them.

These guys are hard to find in a hardware store. Either they aren't NEC code approved or they just aren't very popular; Whatever the reason, I'm very glad I got them. You save space on a small panel that is already crowded.

The product is not new, obviously used. Not at all happy with it. You have to mark it as used or refurbished or you are just a liar. I hope they work as intended, but I bought new ones to avoid this problem, so thanks for that Nathan. I only give 2 stars because it arrived on time.

I would not advise anyone to do electrical work without prior knowledge. In my case, this allowed circuits to be safely added without overloading the panel by replacing the circuit breakers with tandem circuit breakers. For a relatively small investment, I was able to add circuitry and get a spare that will likely stay that way forever.

It wasn't obvious that the hole needed for installation was too small. We had to speak to an electrician who told us to just open the hole with a knife. It was a quick fix that worked well. However, if we weren't lucky enough to have the electrician tell us how to cut the outer shell, we'd be pretty sure we bought the wrong part.
