they work fine. Used wood repair kits with hand tools are suitable, which can also be cleaned by hand here. not broken yet

also had to make a 1/4 inch chain for my echo 2511t conversion and i have to say they work great. I used the hand tool kit sold here, the punches and the holders (logging chain repair?) and it worked great! Simply grind the button of the rivet with a file or dremel if you want to cut it. take it apart, put in a new link (make sure you count what and what you need to cut, add when making chains), count the drive links of the old ones or see how many there are, then count with those new , and do the math by figuring out where the connection goes, etc. Then just 2-3 hammers, I start with a light to medium hit of the ball and it all started. The trick is to spin the punch, spin it as you punch. There are 2 hits, 1x as you can see the links are too stamped, the other is hollow so the new link and strap fit perfectly in the mushrooms. Just hit it evenly and twist the cup stamp and it takes a while. but it's great. This is best done on a solid hardwood log or metal bench, a hard concrete floor with a piece of hardwood in between. Continue beating until the limb is almost tied, checking the movement of the limb to make sure it isn't binding. Keep tapping and checking until you can move almost comfortably. Some oil samples plow like hell/mushrooms on the limbs. If you have motorcycle chains or have a basic knowledge of tools, you can make your own chains with these links, a simple kit, and a few minutes with hammers.

Pros
  • storage and home organization
Cons
  • some little things
