This is a decent desk mat. Unlike other mats that are made of mouse pad material and advertise themselves as being XXL mousepad mats, this really is not a mouse pad but a real, traditional desk mat made of PU leather.It doesn't unroll and flatten as immediately and easy as an XXL mouse pad, but leaving it flat for awhile and/or sitting items on it will leave it flat sooner than later.A mouse works competently upon it, but if you're into gaming or precision work you will want to get a real mouse pad for accuracy and control.As for the material, it looks and feels like polyurethane leather which is a long lasting synthetic leather. It isn't real nor bonded. It isn't real leather at all.The one big negative of this mat (and many like it) are companies that feel compelled to stamp their large logos on the mats themselves taking away or flat out ruining the aesthetic quality of the mat.Companies that make mats like this and similar models please read and understand that obtuse branding is a major negative. If you want to brand your items on the underside that is fine; but placing it on the front really detracts from the design and aesthetics.Overall, it is a very nice PU leather desk mat (outside of the large branding) with good fit and feel.4/5
