Dimming requires multiple SmartThings automation devices

The Sengled Zigbee Switch did not connect easily to my Aeotec V3 SmartThings Hub. Finally, I replaced the included "new" battery and installed it just a few inches from the hub, then added it to the ZigBee network. The instructions don't say anything about building multiple machines to make the dimming work. Here's what I found all by myself to properly dim this thing: 1. The dimmer buttons increase/decrease the value by 5 each. In other words, if you press the blackout button 4 times, the value changes from x to x+20 (up to a maximum of 100); For example, if you press the dimmer down 8 times, it will take a value from x to x-40 (to a minimum of 0).2. Each percentage requires a specific automation, ie if the dimming value of the switch is 70, then the automation you create for "70 percent" should set each light (or lights) to a brightness level of 70%. A separate automation must be created for each dimming level. I used 20 automations to go from 5 percent to 100 percent. Once the dimmer reaches "0", it effectively turns off the light.3. By holding down the dimming buttons, you slowly switch between the automatic modes. I almost gave up on the thing and was contemplating sending it back to Revane. But now that I've finally got it working properly, it's a great little wall switch that can be removed from its magnetic wall mount for a tiny remote control for bedside use or anywhere you see fit . I am very glad I persevered as I now have a nice little inexpensive wall switch/remote for my bedroom.
