Great Zigbee repeater and great price!

I purchased this solely to use as a Zigbee Repeater to increase coverage for other Zigbee devices with SmartThings. Adding this plugin fixed all the issues I was having with my Zigbee devices losing connection to the hub. Ever since adding the peanuts, everything has gone like a rock!

  • Permanent Test Results
Cons
  • Scant Manual

Works somehow with SmartThings.

I bought these for my SmartThings Hub knowing it doesn't have a native device handler but they were inexpensive. Connecting it to my SmartThings network was easy enough, but I had to log into the developer portal and change the device handler for it to work properly. Even then the energy meter does not work. Overall I'm happy with it and it works with my Google Home/Assistant and Alexa devices (via SmartThings integration). I'll raise it to 5 stars if they create a device handler that includes…

Works great with an ST hub and is cheaper than other sockets.

I bought 2 to connect to a SmartThings hub to control a pair of ceramic heaters. They connected with no problems, but I had to change the device type from "Thing" to "SmartPower Connector" on the SmartThing IDE website. I now have basic on/off functionality via SmartThings (and Alexa) for manual and programmed use. I would buy more if needed. I am very satisfied with the product so far. Now when I sleep the thermostat is programmed at 60 and the ceramic heaters cycle on/off to maintain a…

it was fun to watch the software improvement for router

in spring 2015 i bought securifi almonds 2015: there were peanuts in it. I also bought security doors and motion detectors at the time. It was fun to see router software improve. I liked the peanuts so much I bought 2 more: The ZigBee switches are cheap and good looking. and do what they want. Did I mention that I live off the grid with the solar system? With a barn lamp 200 feet away, I can operate it from my couch at 2am in the middle of a downpour. I like it. hp I would like super cheap low…

Works with Smartthings Hub

1. Plug the Peanut into a power outlet.2. Add a new device in the ST app. By default, it appears as "Thing". (Feel free to rename it).3. After adding, log into the ST IDE from your computer (search for Smartthings IDE)4. Sign in with your Samsung or ST5 account. Go to Places6. Click on the name of your Hub7. Click on "Device List”8. Scroll down and click on the peanut shop you just added (depending on how you renamed it in step 2)9. Click Edit10. If necessary, rename Label11. Change "Type” to…

DO NOT NEED Almond Router IF using Smartthings. Follow these steps.

If you want to use this with Smartthings WITHOUT Almond router, you're in luck. Follow the normal pairing process (i.e. open the ST app, click 'add device', plug in the Peanut and press its button, select it in the ST when it comes up). It initially appears in Smartthings simply as a "Thing". Visit (https://) graph api smartthings com (add dots instead of spaces and remove brackets from http://. False advertising of Echo Plus integration

While this plug can technically connect to Echo Plus as a hub, it cannot monitor power consumption when Echo Plus is used as a hub. This is not made clear in the product description - see below. The only reason I chose this connector over another like Amazon's is that it has power monitoring and can use the Plus as a hub. I want a refund for 2 forks I bought with an incorrect description but it's not worth paying shipping to get a refund. For reference, here is the product description regarding

It works and it's that simple! Works with Almond and Alexa!

I was a bit skeptical at first as I've had other smart sockets, but it took me very smart to set it up first and then figure out how to get it to do what I want. arrived in a small nondescript box and I thought "oh no. But I plugged it in, ran the setup and through the almond it was so easy I couldn't believe it! Turning lights on and off at night is great, now my lights turn on when I want and then turn off at different times when each of us goes to bed. My husband stays up late so he has…

Such a lot of crap

Although a great idea and attractive when you look at it on the web, the peanut plug will fall short in real applications and fall behind almost all of its competitors - and two or three times more expensive, not less . The simplest of improvements could be made to this device, which would make it (theoretically of course) a totally attractive buy, but Securifi (the manufacturer) doesn't seem interested in improving their product. very unfortunate, although I don't think they do all that in…
