🔌 Amysen Smart Plug - Certified Compatible with Alexa, Echo & Google Home - WiFi 2.4G (4-Pack) Review

After reading reviews of the Amysen Wi-FI Smart Plug I decided to give it a try. I've spent most of my day trying to get the ports to talk to my router to no avail. The writing in the manual was so small that you needed a microscope to see the writing. I returned the Revain plugs and bought another Wi-Fi Smart plug at my local hardware store. I was able to connect the new ports to my router in minutes.

Works well - my first attempt at installing smart/wifi around the house. Installation was easy enough after I had to call my AT&T U-Verse ISP and they set up my router and gave me separate network IDs for 2.4 and 5.0 GHz. The smart plugs work at 2.4GHz and didn't work until I had a specific 2.4GHz network. The app works well on both my iPhone and Android tablet, but I'm surprised I can't install the app on my desktop computer.

Because I value my privacy, I guess I'll have to return my new Amysen smart plugs. I do not agree that I need to create an account for devices to work in my home. Also, devices cannot be configured using the app if they do not have internet access. This is a design decision by the manufacturer; invasive choice they made. The only positive thing I can say is that it connects to Google Home with ease. 1) The biggest complaint I have is that there isn't much holding it together.
