Extra width and length is a great feature for big guy
The carrying handle is easy and convenient to slip on and off. To me its thin, but I'm not a an experienced Yoga person where you need to feel the floor/carpet and want to have good balance if its not too spongy. Seems to be very good quality, but since it and me are new don't know how long or well it will hold up. Its a nice looking mat with great texture.
