Just received and unpacked mine. It was packaged very well and the knife itself came in a front and rear sheath with a plastic cap on either end. This is a heavy, strong knife. It feels great in the hand and I don't know what those other reviews are saying about the knife not being "sharp"! This knife is as sharp as a razor blade and has a mirrored edge. Be careful not to cut yourself. Because of its handling and sharpness, I'm considering using it in the kitchen instead of my other two Wustoff boning knives. It will be great when cutting meat in the kitchen or in the field. I recommend this knife.
