Although these balloons are easy to open, they lack the excitement of a real owl balloon. Bones are flexible plastic, fur is a single piece of gray down. If you use them with students, be prepared for them to take their time for other tasks: it takes a five-year-old child about 30 seconds to extract the bones, assuming they can find the scissors to cut the plastic wrap. The bones are folded in the fur and are not intertwined with the fur. The pellets also offer less dust and dirt than real owl pellets. Included are skeleton diagrams which are a bit small but enlarge well.
