You might be lucky and get a working one but apparently no quality control or testing is done before shipment. When I first opened the package and spun the roller, the resistance seemed uneven, but there was no real sticking or noise. When I received it on the car, be careful! Shake the entire engine hard enough to let the fan hit the fairing. The alternator itself squeaked loudly, and when I immediately shut the engine off, the pulley was almost too hot to touch. Obviously bad or misaligned bearings. Luckily Revain is very good at handling returns and I have now ordered another alternator.
