The good, the bad and the ugly

I break it down into 3 categories: good, bad and ugly. Good: fits my table which I assembled first. easy to assemble. I'm by no means a carpenter and the instructions were easy to follow. A few cheeky remarks caused laughter. Bad: Plastic cameras are just garbage. They are finicky and don't grip as properly as metal cams. They definitely need to work on design flaws. The table that goes with this set has vintage metal cams and was easy to assemble. It really raised my expectations when assembling this part. While easy to assemble, it did require some creativity with some of the front pieces. A few boards were ONLY warped enough to make the entire front end look like a small bump (see warping below). The plastic literally holds this whole piece together with a few non-essential screws along the way. A risky venture. Ugly: There was damage on a corner that I had to get creative with and fix it myself. I got too deep into the project to take it apart and return it. The fronts are a NIGHTMARE to put on properly. There are 2 front pieces at the top and a center piece that essentially separates the top and bottom halves (see photo). If you don't align them precisely, precisely and to within 0.00005 cm with the alignment of the stars, the moon and the universe, there will be a gap in the middle. See photos for a more detailed explanation. It took me over an hour to even come close to aligning it where it should be. The cameras would have helped piece it all together if they hadn't been a complete mess to begin with. In general everything is fine. Except for the flaws I see every time I look at it. Others seem to like it.
