The style of my desk and the way it sits against the wall calls for an upstairs outlet. Most power hubs are typically bulky, long, rectangular devices. This little one is very elegant and stylish. It lies flat and stays in place. And the fact that I could get it in black to mix and match was a huge plus. I placed it on the back of my desk and hooked up two monitors and an active hard drive. I use USB ports for my iPhone and EarPods. So far not a single error. I suppose I could use it for travel, but it looks more homely on my desk. And the 5ft power cord is pretty hard to toss in my bag. Still great travel options, but I have other solutions for this. I'm surprised to read some of the reviews about receiving a used product or bad packaging. Mine was clearly new and the packaging looks very practical and thought out not to cause disappointment. If you need a desktop surface solution, I highly recommend it.
