I ordered these wands in December hoping they would install them but I couldn't find anyone to install them. They sat in my spare room until recently when I found someone to install them. I really needed them after two falls, not in the shower! but in the hospital. I've decided I MUST install it now and found someone to do it for me. That means they were still in the plastic bags they came in, each in their own packaging. In December, they ended up in a box that was larger than necessary. For the months that followed, they lay on the floor of my guest room. When the guy came to install them he pointed out that the ends of the rods were bent but that the "sleeve" would cover the ends. I had to straighten them before installation. I believe this was because they were shipped in a large cardboard box with no packaging to keep them from deforming. I installed them but didn't like the form they came in. Had I opened them a few months earlier I probably would have sent them back for an exchange.
