I am a bit disappointed with this product. On the one hand, this seems like a good replacement. It is almost identical to the original GM part. The up and down speed seems to be the same as the original part, if not a little faster. The same goes for power. He seems to have a little more power. Not a lot, but a little. The problem, as stated in another review, is that it scratches the glass and makes a horrible squeaking noise. This is because the upper part of the track, which is above the pulley, is in contact with the glass. This happens on the track closest to the rear of the vehicle. I compared this to the original and the metal sticks out a bit more than the original. If you hold the rail so the pulley is horizontal, pointing up and looking straight ahead, the metal parts on the original don't go over the top of the pulley, on the Dorman they do. The way out would be to grind the metal a bit or maybe try to bend it a bit. Personally, I would choose a meat grinder. If it weren't for this design flaw, I would have given it 5 stars. I took off 2 stars for a defect and another star because Dorman left a sour taste in my mouth once this week with another product that didn't work after a month. So I think I'll be done with Dorman products from now on.
