Received product that was lighter than expected. My other Oster has a solid base with a thick glass jug. The lid on top was very tight and had a spout for pouring. The blade was hard and when inserted into the base it was taut too.The new oster has a very thin lid which I have to hold onto to keep it from falling off and there is no pouring spout. The pitcher is plastic. The metal part of the blade looks similar, but the base under the blade is a thin piece of plastic. Let's see if it stays in the liquid. The jug block fits snugly into the engine block. The buttons are a little wobbly. So far, can all i can say about oster is that they seem to focus on lowering the cost of making a product while sacrificing quality, the price is the same for them which means they are with make a big profit on the new one. The company still appears to be based out of Racine, Wisconsin. I thought maybe they had moved east, that is, to the Far East. will update as soon as I shuffle a few things.
