The "Turbo" button is lower than the "0" (off) button and the buttons have to close, so instead of switching off you have hit the turbo. Not healthy. Also, speed 1, which is the slowest, will regurgitate whatever you mix up all over the kitchen too quickly. 2nd and 3rd gear are not significantly different from 1st gear. If you're mixing something thicker like cookie dough, it won't have enough strength to handle the butter even if it's room temperature. I think the only plausible thing this could be useful for is making whipped cream, and that's if you have a large bowl and a small batch to cook with.
