NOT safe for babies!

As a mother of 4 children aged 4 to 10, I'm always looking for toys that are durable and don't have a lot of small parts that are easy to lose. I bought three sets of magnetic tiles from three different manufacturers on the same day to see which ones worked best. This set has slightly stronger magnets than the other two competitors, allowing you to build taller freestanding structures. However, over the last few months I have noticed with displeasure that of the 33 original tiles that we have received, some are torn at the edges, which means there is a risk that the internal magnets will be exposed. Since the package contains a large warning that swallowed magnets stick together in the intestine and lead to death, I immediately threw away the fragments. The first part it happened to I thought it was a coincidence, but since then I've had to discard a few parts from the original set. None of the pieces in any of the competitor sets showed any sign of damage under the same conditions, so I believe this set's odd magnets and unique shapes make the tiles more structurally fragile and susceptible to damage. I do not recommend this set for young children.
