Review on 🔥 Thermal Grizzly Minus Pad 8 - Thermopad Silicone, Self-Adhesive, Thermally Conductive Pad - Efficiently Cools Computer or Console Heating Elements (120 × 20 × 1.0mm, 2 Units) by Todd Wigfall

These thermal grizzlies are amazing - high performance. However, they are more expensive due to the size, so I bought this 120 x 20 x 1mm to mount in high heat areas like the VRAM on the baseboard. I've paired these grizzlies with a cheaper 1mm thick alternative with a lot more surface area to work with less sensitive areas and the backplate (blue part in the picture). The combination worked like a dream. These pads do not warp or elongate when the film is removed unlike another brand I have used (AIYANNI). This makes it really easy to apply, stays in place (and cuts into precise rectangular areas), and is pretty sticky! For alignment I would recommend the components flat side down and rough side up as in the future it will be easier to remove the base board without breaking the pads as they have a better grip on the PCB components. In the end my card was 20 degrees colder! This both in idle state and under full load. If anyone was annoyed by the different pad sizes on this particular map, worry no more! 1mm is perfect for all areas! Just remember to carefully cut and apply to the right areas and components and you're done!
