Maybe I just expected too much. If you're just looking for a basic webcam that's mostly stationary, this might be the one for you. Under certain lighting conditions, the image is sharp and clear. Otherwise, here are the problems I encountered: The pan and zoom movements are not precise enough. Poor color in some lighting conditions. There are no manual contrast settings. Too small a hole for a tripod. The remote works about half the time (yes, I used good batteries). Point the remote directly at the camera and still only react half the time. Cannot be controlled from the computer (no additional equipment). No user manual (cannot be found online either) other than a very small booklet. The website says 10x optical zoom, but the brochure says so. says 3x. However, the zoom level was very good.
