I have only used powerex chargers so far. I use them extensively and charge about 32 batteries every weekend and this is the 3rd battery I've bought to replace an old one that died (but considering how much I've used it over the last 9 years Pretty good lifespan!) . I would definitely keep buying these chargers. It has a slow charge feature to keep the batteries healthy, and a normal charge can revive a dead set of batteries in about an hour or two (I don't actually keep track of the clock, so these are rough estimates). What I like about this new version is that the "thick part" of the power cord is now the middle part and no longer part of the plug itself. In other words, the fork itself is a standard size "end", which plays well and fits into tight spaces on the extension unlike the older versions which had a big, thick clevis and took up a lot of space. on the strip that rendered adjacent exits on the strip unusable because it covered them. I like that they redesigned this part.
