The connection for the SD media card stopped working after four months.

SD media card connector stopped working after four months. Other than that, only a USB 3 device like an external drive works fine when running in FCPX or Logic Pro, but when I plug in another USB 3 device like an audio interface (Focusrite 2i2), the external drive starts up to click and disappears . This is a 2017 OWC model 7200 RPM external drive. Nucleum will not recognize a three year old external USB-3 from G-Technology or OWC MacSales. So for the price, I was expecting a more powerful hub to work with two or more of the external hubs I'm currently investigating.
