The Palm m100 has revolutionized the way I keep track of my appointments. I can't imagine life without him! With the stylus, you can easily enter appointments, phone numbers, to-do lists, and more by writing on the small screen. Handwriting recognition is far from perfect, but it has come a long way since the first PDAs. Most letters of the alphabet are easy to write, but some (like K, Q, and T) require special, albeit easy to remember, strokes. The numbers are intuitive, but the punctuation requires a little more learning. You won't find many features on this model, but I rarely find myself using everything it REALLY offers. The sleek grey-black screen is easy to read in both bright and dim light. Make an appointment next year? Permanently every Tuesday? No problem. Navigating the calendar, from day to month and year views, is very easy. I often use the alarm feature to remind myself of commitments I'm likely to forget - it can be set to sound in a minute or several hours. With a click of a button, you can access your address book, to-do list, appointment book, and palm stroking tutorial. The icons on the screen itself take you to the general menu, Calculator and search functions. You can synchronize the information entered on your Palm with your PC so that you have two current copies of all your information. (Mac requires a bit more effort than PC, but it's compatible. ) Highly recommended for people who haven't tried PDA. They don't get overwhelmed with frills and still have more than enough features to meet your needs. Its reasonable price also makes it attractive for students and people who are hesitant to carry expensive items with them.
