I bought it to give my Canon a little more flexibility.

I bought this to give my Canon 5D Mark III more flexibility and didn't want a long cable. I shoot top to bottom and this keeps my setup neat/clean. I chose the cable labeled "USB-A Right”, it connects my DSLR to the OTG adapter and finally to the micro USB port of my Android phone. The app I use is called DSLR Controller on the Play Store. It costs around $5 but it beats every other free option currently available as EVERYTHING is a joke. As far as I know, the Canon app only allows a wireless connection, which my camera doesn't have. The only reason I took off a star was that it didn't fit snugly in the mini USB port.

Pros
