Lightweight, compact, portable, useful. But no percussion massager.

Full Disclosure: I received this as part of a seller verification program and will try not to let it influence my review. a percussion massager with a clearer picture, so this review offers some comparisons with those devices. This device is wireless and that was one of the reasons I was very interested in it. The packaging is pretty unspectacular. There is a quote on the side of the box that is intriguing but still doesn't give away the contents. Inside the box is the block itself, the charger, the carrying case (nice touch) and the instructions. It came with some charge right out of the box. The device itself is lighter than my comparable products. The power button also adjusts 3 levels of intensity and a separate button selects vibration patterns. Very easy. For future models, I would like to see a slide switch that offers a wider, customizable range of intensity levels. The head is made of very soft silicone with an interesting diamond pattern. Feels great on smooth skin. On hairy areas (like my manly legs) the silicone stuck and pulled the hair slightly - even some hair stuck to the head after a massage. That's enough to distract you from what should be rest. To massage hairier areas, a little massage oil will probably help, but it's not clear if the silicone will hold up to the oil. In contrast, the Hitachi has a more plastic head that doesn't pull hair and has no problems with massage oil. This massager appears to be sold as a percussion massager (like my clearer picture model). The device lacks the intensity and percussive motion to provide such a massage, regardless of the intensity scheme chosen. It just doesn't have the vertical movement of the head to take it off and lacks the different types of massage heads offered in most percussion massagers. However, it's a solid wireless device that competes well with Hitachi's use cases (massage with vibration rather than percussion). Marketing materials state that the device will last up to 90 minutes on a full charge. I have 80, close enough. And it should take 2.5 hours to charge to full capacity. It took me about 2. According to the user manual, the device is NOT waterproof, although the charging port has a rubber seal. Adding a waterproof option to a future version would be a great benefit for relaxing your muscles during a hot bath or shower.

Pros
  • 20 vibrations and 3 intensity levels: 20 different vibration modes ensure a pleasant massage therapy, 3 intensity modes for targeted muscle pain relief. Use this massage stick after exercise when some muscles hurt. It helps relieve pain and relax muscles with powerful and unique vibrations.
Cons
  • High Price
