This puzzle ball led me down a dark path. It all started. Now I have 6 puzzle balls, 1 pyramid, 1 vase and 1 glass. And another ball and pyramid on the way. I think my original Ravensburger globe is still my favorite (could be replaced with an antique Ravensburger globe on the way from ebay). I have made three Ravensburger 540 balls, a 240 ball and a 240 pyramid and they are high quality. The parts fit together very well. Sometimes they stick a little, but use a non-rotating stand for support so they click well and hold up better. I've also found that with some big balls it helps to do them twice, once with 1-540 and the second with 540-1, and then the finished puzzle will be smoother (as you get closer to the end you can only use your use fingers to connect the pieces together, without additional leverage they don't always go together smoothly). This is one of the best puzzle balls you can get. You can find globes from other companies, but they don't include a rotating stand and just aren't as high quality. You can find this particular jigsaw puzzle from third party suppliers, but with all jigsaw puzzles you need to make sure it hasn't been opened so you don't lose the pieces. All my puzzles (so far) have been sealed and none are missing a piece.
