Review on 🧗 Half Dome Climbing Helmet by Black Diamond Equipment: Optimized for SEO by Jorge Kumar

I'm heading to Zion National Park for Labor Day weekend, so I'm adding climbing gear to my hiking gear. Black Diamond appears to be a reputable/popular brand based on product reviews from end users and Instagram profiles. First I wrongly ordered size S/M instead of size M/L. Although the internals were trimmed enough for a comfortable fit, the S/M shell sat ridiculously high on my head. Luckily it fit my cousin who is also going on this trip so I gave it to him and ordered the right size. My research has shown me that the main purpose of the Half Dome climbing helmet is to protect your head from falling rocks that could accidentally be thrown from your rope or from a climber overhead. Side protection is present but minimal. The top of the helmet is quite thick so it still sits fairly high on the head. I sent Black Diamond a photo via their Insta account asking if they fit properly but they never responded but it looks like the fit I'm experiencing correlates with the pictures on their account. It seems really well designed and well built. I'm happy.
