Used on a semi-rough beard. Pretty slick, actually showed me where to trim and clean my beard better! Definitely helpful to use beard balm and oil for better smoothing. Good effect, looks less chaotic and more individual. Can't imagine using every day but definitely a few times a week and at events. It took about 10 minutes to straighten a 3 inch beard. Easy to use, plug in, wait a few minutes and sweep over the beard.
