Review on 💻 Enhance Your Network Performance with Protronix Gigabit Ethernet LAN Low Profile PCI Express (PCIe) Network Controller Card 10/100/1000 by Joseph Katipally

I'm not sure if these devices are tested before sale but I'm upgrading my network from 10/100 to gigabit (1000). In any case, this card worked for 2 days, then came to my office and said that the network cable was disconnected. So I checked the connections and tried a new cable, but that didn't help. Shut down the computer and pull out the card, it was HOT like very hot. I waited for it to cool down and tried it on another desktop computer. Installed the driver etc and plugged in a network cable that I know works (was plugged into the motherboard's built in network adapter) and plugged into that network adapter. The same, it would not recognize the connected cable. So damn I checked the cable and made sure it was a 5e cable and not just 5. Which was 5e. So I opened up a new Cat6 cable and tried it, same result. bad card. This card must be a real fire hazard because it was hot when I pulled it out. I'm glad it didn't damage the computer or worse. I hate leaving bad reviews as this card was probably just bad and others may work great, but this review is of the card I received and what I experienced with it. Time will tell when others will post reviews there, but when I returned Amazon I had no option to replace the card, only return and refund, so I bought another brand and will check it out once it arrives. .
