Unconfirmed purchase as I bought this from a lid gasket site. Got a medium size for my small subcompact SUV. About 15 seconds after opening the product, I realized I had made a huge mistake. It's so heavy that it's impossible to climb over the car. I lift weights but it's still so bulky and big and clunky that it's almost impossible for one person to pack it in a car and it's so heavy that it can't be put on and taken off daily, eh I needed to protect against desert pack rats. Also, I live near the main road and the place where I parked is not paved but rather sandy with some small stones. The weight of this thing means you'll have to drag it to the ground to set it up before attempting to lift it, rather than dragging it across the surface of your car. That means it picks up sand, dirt and small rocks, which then grind across your car's surface. After trying to install it for 5 minutes, I found that trying to use it daily for a week would destroy the finish of my new machine. I really wanted this to work, but now not only do I have minor scratches on my car as others have pointed out, but I also don't have $150 air shipping. I tried to put it back in the package that was delivered, there are zippers in the protective bag which are plastic and broke. Again, I really wanted this to work and spent a total of $500 on it hoping it might be the solution to protecting my new car from rodent damage after my previous car was over $5000 worth of pack rats was hit. I'm back to square one, only now I don't know what I'm going to do. This would be a great product for someone who needs to leave the car unused for a long period of time as well as someone who can help get it fitted to their car and also has a clean driveway to store the car. But it doesn't work unless you're on a paved road and not suitable for everyday use. Now I'm very sad.
